Today's date is 10-10-10.
101010 is binary for "42".
So, today we may either have the secrets of the universe revealed to us or, more likely, today the universe will end. (The 12-21-12 kids be damned).
Wonder what will happen?
I'm gonna go get a hold of a towel just in case.

Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving, some of us do the Turkey thing today, some tomorrow.
We are in the today group, and in about 2 hours, there will be a 22 pound bird coming out of the oven, then we're going to pig out, and then watch movies with my pants unbuckled...Dexter is on tonight.
So if the chit hits the fan tonight becaose of some msytical 42 something-or-other, at least it's going to happen on one of the best meals of the year.

Out here in the midwest I've encountered a lot of people who look not entirely unlike the The Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal who, if you'll remember, is so mind-bogglingly stupid that it assumes that if someone can not see it, then it can not see them.
Come to think of it, based on a great many of the posts I've encountered on this forum, such a level of intellect is common.
