Pickup Man:

1. With all do respect, if someone is coming at me angrily, THAT IS A THREAT !!! REGARDLESS of whether the person is ARMED or NOT, he is a threat, plain and simple. Whether he is armed or not, and whether he intends to do bodily harm or not is not germaine to the case in Arizona, it is the idea of someone coming at another person and the person being approached perceiving a threat from the aggressor that is the threat. Maybe in your Polyanna world you and him have to do some Westside Story like rumble dance reenactment scene or maybe you have to hand out Girl Scout Cookies and Kool-Aid to someone threatening you before he beats on you and maybe kills you, but here in my world, when it comes down to the real possibility of being harmed or killed, I'll shoot first and answer questions later, thank you very much.

2. I have researched this exact situation with my lawyer, and they told me that the use of deadly force in that situation, especially if I perceive a threat to myself, my property, or anyone else in the vehicle from the other person is PERFECTLY LEGAL in Arizona. They even said that whether or not the other person was armed or threw a punch that connected, had NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on whether or not I was being threatened.

Personally, if I perceive a threat from someone that MIGHT do bodily harm to me, damage my vehicle further, or harm anyone else in the vehicle with me, I prefer to put a quick end to the confrontation. If it means using deadly force to get my message across, similar to what Sitting Bull did to General Custer at Little Bighorn, Montana, then so be it. I CAN and WILL defend my actions as SELF DEFENSE !!!

IMO - Sounds to me like Az is a temper problem resolver, + add stupidity.

One bullet takes care of both.

06bluemeaniexl:

I do not have a temper problem, nor do I have an anger management problem.
You, junior, have a perception problem.

About the sack tapping of my nephew:

Why didn't you present ALL of the facts building up to the sack tap?
Let me do that for you, seeing as how you have the liberal attitude of only presenting the facts that make me out to be a bad guy, and since it places the sack tap in a different light.

- I had been REPEATEDLY punched in the junk by my nephew.
- I had asked his breeding heffer mother to discipline the little calf, but she did not.

AFTER REPEATEDLY taking it in the junk, and REPEATEDLY asking the breeding heffer to take action to discipline the little calf, THEN I sack tapped the little breeding heffers calf.

See, once ALL of the facts are on the table, different story. Defense rests, your honor.

MAYBE, in your alternate universe I should have handed the kid a gold medal for marksmanship, along with juice and cookies? Or maybe I should have paid for him to train in martial arts or boxing so he could learn to put more thrust into his punches?

I'm not gonna post my accidents anymore. I think the whole incident was funny, actually. Sure, I was pissed at the time, but not because I feared for my safety or felt threatened by the guy. I mean, there were 6 of us, including me, in the truck and the guy was almost 60. He was just an idiot and I've had a few accidents and close calls because of idiots. I'm definitely not a perfect driver but I certainly don't sneak in front of semi trucks either. It's just plain stupid. Anyway, good luck with the debate.

Maybe you can't do that in the fascist regulated areas that you exist in, but here in Arizona, it is legal to carry in a vehicle, and to use deadly force to protect yourself if you perceive a threat. Someone coming at me yelling at the top of their lungs, to me, is a threat, therefore, I will do what I perceive to be right, not what some emasculated liberal touchy-feely namby pamby waste of oxygen and sorry excuse for a lack of contraceptives or a coat hanger bureaucrat or one of their followers who wants to take away my rights says I should do in their Polyanna fantasy world.

Personally, in the world of kill or be killed, I prefer to come out in first place, because second place is for losers.
Dems fightin wurds here in Texas!

I'm absolutely for guns and all that, BUT there is just WAY too many walking around, just waiting for a moment when they get too shoot someone..
That being said...do what ya gotta do, just don't shoot me if we ever get in a confrontation..
