Deadliest Catch...Sig Hanson/Hillstrands Quit!!!...
A contract is a contract. If they are in breach- the chips will have to fall where they may.
I'm sure no one knew "Deadliest Catch" would be as successful as its been. And while I'm sure the captain and maybe the crew, got a little cheddar in their pockets from the show, not nearly as much as Discovery made in ad revenue, and merchandise sales. Then again, how is that different from any other show or business deal? Heck, I earn my company way more $ than I make a year- it is the way of things...
I hate to hear about those guys quitting- the key is to sign a shorter contract, or have a clause in a long contract allowing the opportunity to re-negotiate if the show is successful.

I'll buy the T shirt! "Hey ya'll, watch this!"
There's plenty more fish in the sea if anyone leaves!! Having said that I think its about time that they let it rest, there is only so much "action" to watch on that show. Once u have seen a few there is not a great deal more of interest!
Old thread - old topic.... They all ironed out their contract(s) back in October..
