I have no idea what party Ms. Harris is with (didn't watch the entire video), but she needs to be recalled ! That kind of anger comes from unhappiness.

It really doesn't matter what party she's from, though her contempt sounds reminiscent of rherotic that I've heard from one side more than the other. They never mentioned party affiliation, so sitting through 13+ minutes isn't necessary.

She isn't the only problem here. In addition to her disrespect for her constituents and fellow councilwoman, there a big problem when the mayor and councilmen sit there and let this woman exact her rage on people who are trying to take part in governing. They show a complete lack of a spine, especially the mayor, who appeased this belligerent woman rather than take charge.

If these are the things that people we elect to govern are doing behind closed doors, we need to become more aware of it so that we can make more informed decisions at the ballot box.

I've been to more than a few public meetings, and it seemed 100% authentic to me. That Jeanne Harris lady is just an out of control beeyotch with serious mental issues.

And I agree with wittom that the mayor is also at fault. He was HORRIBLE at running the meeting.

Pretty funny that the Light Rail and parking structures will obviously have a huge impact on the city, and the council refuses to hear from its citizens at a council meeting. And if a citizen mentions a council member by name, that Jeanne Harris woman just goes off like a bomb, lol.

 

I would not have been nearly as nice as the guy speaking to the council. I've been to a few of our council meetings and everything has run really smoothly; citizens get full rights to speak freely. Guess we have a 'nice' council

 

I've never seen anything as bad as in the vid. I'm sure most councils are far better.

It's pretty common for one or more members to reveal their limited knowledge of an important issue, and that is annoying enough.

But I've never seen contempt for the public like Jeanne Harris exhibited. Also never seen a mayor or chair in such poor control.

 

The Mayor definitely needs to grow a pair, and take charge of the meeting. He kept shriveling up when the voice of Mrs Harris was ranting.

 

Someone should have told her to shut her mouth and let the man speak, and I guess if you cant single a member of the council out on what that member has said then the entire council should be responsible for those comments. If that had happened here the entire audience would have gone nuts and told her to shut the hell up.

Her actions are reprehensible and against open government and free speech. She certainly should be recalled.

I also see she is an Allstate agent in Vancouver, WA. Anyone covered by them should take a stand and notify them of the great agent they have representing them!!!

The mayor is equally responsible for defending that crazy woman.
