US can "absorb" terrorist attacks?

It has been alleged that our president said our country can absorb more terrorist attacks.

CBS News-What Obama Meant When He Said America Can "Absorb" a Terrorist Attack

CBS reporter Mr. ****erson also purports to know what our president ment when he allegedly said that our country can absorb more terrorist attacks.

Do you believe that our country can or should absorb more terrorist attacks?

The man is bad news. I'm just glad that the American people, for the most part, have realized this.

We cannot afford to "absorb" any more terrorist attacks. I don't want to see more Americans lose their lives, jobs or possessions due to our gov't' failure to protect.

Can we absorb more terrorists attacks? I suppose.

Just like we can also can absorb higher taxes, higher gas prices, higher food prices, higher unemployment, higher energy bills, higher medical insurance costs, higher interest rates, and less disposable income.

And thanks to Obama, we will get the chance to prove it!

Unfortunately a very large portion of the voting population have the same mentality as that jacka$$ otherwise he never would have made it into office.
The terrorist attacks that worry me more now days are coming out of Washington and not from foreign countries.

First sentence, second paragraph speaks plainly enough....

..The quote screams for context--if for no other reason than its use of ellipses--but the president's critics weren't waiting for it..
...and so it goes.

This guy is the most despicable, pretentious politician I've ever seen.

All we can hope for and pray for is that this mistake of a President will be done on January 20, 2012.

It cannot possibly come fast enough.

Yes Raoul, and so it goes. First paragraph, second sentence, "We can absorb a terrorist attack. We'll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever ... we absorbed it and we are stronger."

His own words show his ignorance of economic issues. Our economy never fully recovered after 9/11, especially in industrial construction jobs. If you remember correctly, the Fed kept lowering interest rates to unsustainable levels after that terrorist attack which resulted in the housing bubble.

Then again, ignorance is bliss and I'll give you this much Raoul, your hit and run posts are full of it (ignorance).

This is a strong, powerful country that we live in, and our people are incredibly resilient."

Then he addressed his big concern. "A potential game changer would be a nuclear weapon in the hands of terrorists, blowing up a major American city. Or a weapon of mass destruction in a major American city. and so when I go down on the list of things I have to worry about all the time, that is at the top, because that's one area where you can't afford any mistakes. And so right away, coming in, we said, how are we going to start ramping up and putting that at the center of a lot of our national security discussion? Making sure that that occurence, even if remote, never happens."
He still said we can absorb a terrorist attack... chop the quote up however you like, he still said it.

Frank, you know I do not engage in personal attacks.
You leave me no choice except to use the ignore feature.

All one has to do is a search of your posts to see that is a false statement.

You have called several people ignorant in the past. Sometimes indirectly. I can remember several times you saying that "this is a truck site", as if some of the people here are less intelligent/educated just because of the vehicle they drive.
