The 3.0L motor....

I still have nightmares about that thing. It's not fit to run a lawn mower.

I had one in my 4runner and the damn thing couldn't get out of it own way. Maintaining 70mph was impossible. Not to mention it's "awesome" mpg... 15 mpg average with a light foot. WTF mate. Don't even get me started on the transmission. The thing might as well of had 2 gears, slow, and stopped.

All the power of a v6 with the mileage of a v8

Watch the video posted here earlier if you thing the Toyota is solid. The thing practically disintegrated on the bump course. The Ford was rock solid. I drove the new Toyota for fun prior to buy my 6th F-150. It was not even comparable, except it did have nice power. Other than that, there was no comparison to the Ford, or the GMC I drove for that matter.

Thanks but I already have my opinion (based on fact). I have owned both Fords and Toyotas so I am speaking from first hand experience.

How many Toyota's have you owned? If the answer is none you really should not comment about it.

How old are you any way, 16? your being childish.

No actually. Pulling a 6x12 enclosed trailer full of motorcycles through the mountains of Colorado. ...with groceries in the back

Really people, no need to act like children. Are you guy's all going to beat me up because I think the Toyota is a better built vehicle?

If Toyotal trucks are really better than Fords, then there would be 5 at each stop light here in Texas like there are F-150s. Heck, they build the darn things in this state. Yet they sell very poorly comparatively. Maybe because some people here (certainly not all) us their trucks for the intended purpose and know which is superior. And it isn't just Ford. I would much rather own a Chevy or Dodge than a Tundra. Just like their car counterparts, they are over hyped in the reliability category and are just plain ugly.

Give it up, Graphite. You aren't going to get these fanboys here to change their attitude one bit. It's Ford or nothing. What do you expect on a Ford forum?

Ive actually owned one for about a week before i traded it it , family member had a 4 runner and talk about a POS. Id also like to know how im acting childish when i put 100 percent ture facts on here and you call me childish. Go trade your F150 back in and get another toyota, you have no idea what a good, SOLID truck is.

Good Day

All manufacturers have their own method of testing, and there is no standard. Believe me there are ways to prove that you have the best truck, just depends how you setup the test.

You will notice Toyota recently dropped the tow ratings across the board on all of their trucks. All manufacturers will follow shortly due to the new SAE standardize method of testing. We should see shortly how all of these truck actually stack up. At least for towing.

Something for all you Texans!!
