I'm thinking we'll go far this year. I'm gonna be honest I feel like we should only have 2 losses at most this year. Florida and Arkansas. Only reason I give Florida the edge is the fact we play at the swamp this year. I'm pretty confident in that we'll beat Alabama this year. And Arkansas always fights us hard. And it's at Arkansas this year. So to be honest, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we go 12-1 with a loss to a 8-5 Arkansas team. Hopefully we can get another championship this year that would be awesome.

But reguardless if LSU or the Saints lose every game I won't care. They'll still both be my favorite teams.
I'm no band wagon fan.

Seriously? Bama will go undefeated this year. Pretty well the same national title team minus McClain and Mount Cody. The core of the offense is still intact. Big Mark Ingram is back and don't sleep on Trent Richardson either!! LSU will be DESTROYED by Bama!oh yeah...... ROLL TIDE ROLL

I don't think there is much chance of that happening. Mainly because I don't forsee Alabama giving up 31 points to LSU, but on any given day anybody can win. IMO Bama will either go back to back championships this year or they'll win again next year (if Ingram, Julio Jones, and Richardson all stay).
I hope you guys go 12-1 this year. It will make the Heels win look that much better.
See ya in the Georgia Dome in 2 weeks.
Hey LSU (You must be a Shaun Peyton fan as well since you like the Saints) and any other person who knows just how special small town sports are to a community, I think you'll love this video:

It brings back great memories and makes me realize how much I miss High School sports. If only I could go back...

LSU fan here as well. While I hope for a huge season, I am a realist.
Gary Crowton and "The Cap" really, REALLY need to get their act together for the offense. Blown play calls and horrible clock management have been the hallmark of their time together. Even the '07 team had shades of that, BUT, they covered that up by stellar talent on the offense. I think Les and Crowton are on the hot seat, and if they have a bad year, I pray that LSU gets rid of them both!
As for the defense, since Pelini left, it's not been the same. Pelini knew how to get everything out of the blue chips that LSU recruited. The defense from the '07 team was one for the ages. The D-coordinator now, John Chavis, is as opposite as they come. Since I went to Tennessee for graduate school '03-'08, I saw firsthand the effects of the Chavis defense. Two words: TENTATIVE & INEFFECTIVE! It seems like once Chavis gets a lead, he goes into a prevent defense, completely abandoning any blitz packages that were previously effective. I believe with a different DC, LSU's D might be better.
In short, EVERY game this year will be a test for the team. Not one game (save for maybe McNeese State and UL-Monroe) will be a "gimme." Like I said, I want a great, championship season, but am conditioning myself to that not happening.
