They need to keep the spectators further away from the track.

It's a horrible tragedy.

It's the desert and a 200 mile race. You can't fence it all off.

My sympathies to the famililes of those hurt and killed in this racing accident.

The spectators should be aware that they could be in danger if a vehicle goes out of control, and choose their spots accordingly. It's exciting to be close to the action, but putting yourself in harm's way is a risk.

every year some one wipes out in the race. you would think that thes race chasers would be aware of that. half the draw is to see some one wipe out so thay might see carnage to bad it was there carnage that thay saw!
my heart dose go out to the ones who lost or was lost out there yesterday

I agree. That's about like going out onto a 4 lane interstate during rush hour and playing in it.

That's a real bad deal, I was working up there Friday and saw a bunch of the trucks and buggys going up to the track. Was thinking about taking the family out to see it, glad I didn't.
I have road that track on my quad a few times, a hand full to say the least. To stand that close with the trucks that out of control is just asking for it. Sorry for the familys of those killed.

Wow my thoughts and prayers go out. Desert racing has always been an extremely risky sport, for both drivers and spectators. People get their adrenaline rushing wanting to be right in on the action, and sometimes their adrenaline takes over for common sense.
