I have some Glocks, some S&Ws, and some Rugers, but I have to tell you that while the Glocks are the best overall gun ever for CC, they can be uncomfortable to conceal in some situations. If you are not careful, you may have some freak calling the police on you for brandishing.

I have been carrying a Kel-Tec PF9 for over a year, and the thing is awesome. It takes a beating, it cleans easy, and can be purchased as a backup or low-capacity main carry for just under $300 new most places.

It'll carry 8 rounds (9mm), handles the +P, and is barely even noticable as a CCW using an Uncle Mike's Neoprene waistband Size 0 holster.

Also, after reading the FBI's assessment of ammunition and it's take down ability, the 9mm is plenty good for it. The .45 of course is better, but using an alternating clip loading pattern of JHP,FMJ,JHP, etc..., the 9mm is adequate provided you can place your shots. The FBI paper expressly recommends repeated center of mass pulverizing until a confident head shot is presented.

I would buy a second Glock ASAP, but I also recommend you consider the PF9 for back up or lighter clothing situations.
