NYC for a while....

Hey Y'all, I head up to NYC this afternoon for a few weeks worth of work. Any body have any good suggestions for places to go, things to do, etc?

We'll be staying in Brooklyn.

This isn't my first time going up there, I've worked on this facility several times before. I thought about taking my XDm, but I don't have a carry permit for NY. I'll be up there with a crew of divers, we usually don't run into many problems when we travel, and trust me, we stay in some pretty sketchy places sometimes. This time we've rented a house not far from the jobsite.

I'll be here for 3 weeks.

I haven't seen the new stadium yet, but I don't know if I'll be available during a game or not.

You can meet up with me and let me drive your truck.

Nah, but my family and I will be heading up to NYC Wednesday Aug. 11 for about a week. I will try and keep an eye out for your truck. (if your taking it)

Couple o pics from the trip. Should wrap everything up tomorrow.

For the first two weeks of the trip we stayed in a rented house in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. Unfortunately it's not available for the 3rd week, so we've moved into a hotel down the road.

Who knew you could get a backyard in Brooklyn?

The purpose of the trip is to inspect the old timber piles supporting some of the piers on the East River. I managed to take a few pics while working and got my buddy to snap a few of me entering the water on one of my dives.

View from the North side of the jobsite.

Brooklyn Bridge: (Hopefully I'll walk across it tomorrow)

My gear:

OK to go: If you look further down the pier you can see the 2nd diver also getting ready.

Diver entering the water:

Diver is OK:

View from the top of our hotel:
