Anybody Else Got The Nextel Brute I680???
I just got one, seems to be a pretty tuff phone. Only problem is sometimes in stores in loses signal sometimes. But other than that it's ok. Anybody else got it?
Uh Hmmm......
F SPRINT/NEXTEL!
That is all
I got the Brute earlier this year when my other one went out (576 I believe). Now the LCD screen is busted. How? I don't know. I keep it in my pocket. There is no damage to the plastic screen or the outer case.
I have another brute to swap it out but I cringe at the thought of spending any more time at the Sprint store. I spent an hour there in January, BAREFOOT because on an emergency call, my boss lost his phone in a creek we were trying to dam up. I waited 45 minutes to get service. 15 to get a new phone. (I did notify them when I walked in, they just didn't care)
Then when the brute broke last month, I waited 30 for them to tell me I was at the wrong store and needed to be at the one they just opened the week before down the street.

I had Nextel for a while, and it was the only phone I've owned that got service in the middle of a cornfield miles from civilization in Minnesota and South Dakota.
I've since switched to AT&T, and now have the Motorola Tundra. It's a pretty solid phone, on occasion it stops vibrating, but if you just smack it a couple times it starts working again. Other then that I've put the phone through hell and it's come out alive.

Nextel blows but I pay $32.99 for 800 minutes and nobody else offers a deal like that.
I lose service all the time and often have to go outside to talk on my phone even at my own house.
Actually my plan expired 3 years ago but I still pay that price.
I cant get a new phone though because the new ones are Sprint/Nextel hybrids and I need one thats strictly Nextel.
Unfortunately the battery in my I730 doesnt seem to hold a charge all day anymore.
