Counting and rolling those would be a big project by itself.

I absolutely would pay the fee and dump it into one of those coin counters at the grocery store.

So if he has 4,000 pennies, it will cost him $3.60.

4,000 pennies is 80 rolls. IF he's lightning fast and can roll two rolls a minute, it will take him 40 minutes.

Spending 40 minutes to save $3.60 is like working for $5.37/hour.

If his free time is worth more than $5.37/hour, pay the 9%!

Ok....But if you take the time to actually save pennies you could be considered a tightwad! Right? AND if you are that cheap then you must also factor in milage and time spent at the coin machine. SO it isn't 9%----Faller me Dave! ha ha

I faller.

All the grocery stores around here have 'em. No need to make a special trip anyplace. Just remember to haul the pennies next time you make a beer run.

Those counters are pretty fast, and darn entertaining to watch.

Oh, and he's already made a special trip to get more penny rolls. Bye-Bye profit

Also, if he uses a counter he will have a printed receipt proving the # of pennies! That's important in a high stakes contest like this.

Should have quoted you with a X2!

No way I'd roll thousands of pennies. I thought I only paid 7% - 8% to have my change counted, but I'd gladly pay 9% for all pennies.

They're my pennies, and I want all 100% of them!

I never liked the Stoner Machines, I can be pretty lazy, but not that lazy.

I'll swing by the bank and pick up a bunch of penny rolls tomorrow, should be finished by tomorrow night. As for how many, let just call it over 100 so far.

I'll take a photo of all the rolled pennies and any leftovers.
