My neighbor wayne

On sat morning Wayne was unloading his tractor from a trailer and the tractor, trailer and his truck began to move at the same time (gravel road uphill). The tractor slipped off the trailer and Wayne tried to jump off and did not make it. The tractor ran him over breaking his knee and leg and running over his chest. He had surgery at ECMC and they repaired his knee with many many plates and pins, his chest was okay. He will be out of commission for some time to come. Wish him well, he was doing a favor for a friend with his tractor and all went bad for him. . There was to much weight at the end of the trailer causing the back wheels on his suburban to lift over the chalks he had installed (which should have been under the trailer...

he is a chevy mechanic so he has lot's of work... I did get his bro in law to buy a ford truck and he is very happy. Well they told him 6 months at least for the healing to take hold and rehab after that providing no infection sets in. he is a lucky guy he could really have died...
get well Bro...

Sounds like he was lucky that it wasn't worse. Best wishes towards him, family, friends, and speedy recovery.

i have had my fair share of accidents, almost all of them were caused by lack of attention to detail or just plain being in a hurry.

i always chalk the trailer, i would love to say i did it on purpose, but I simply guessed right.

tell him to take it easy and that people that dont even know him are pulling for a good recovery.

I think the scariest thing I've ever seen was when I was visiting a friend at a farm and they had a PTO powered water pump on the back of a John Deere, and they had one of the workers working on it. Well, we were playing around not that far from it, and next thing we heard was a scream. It was the worker's arm getting ripped off by the unshielded PTO and I saw it flopping. I almost puked.... my friend was in horror and we went inside to call 911, but the father was in and we told him. He called 911 and then blasted outside telling us to stay inside.

All I gotta say is be extremely cautious when working with machinery.

Thats what happend to my grandpa back in the early 80's was using a old style hay bayler and saw a big clump of dirt and reached in to grab it and the machine ripped his arm off at the shoulder. But that never stopped him from doing anything only man i've ever seen using a chainsaw with one hand cutting down mesquite trees, worked on his truck, drove a standard transmission. He did everything he did before his arm got cut off.
