Hello to all,
I'm hoping someone can help with a gas dryer problem. The home Ipurchased came with a newer washer & older gas dryer. Problem with dryer is that it does not dry, I can see the ignitor glow then shut off after a minute or so. I hear a click prior to it ( ignitor) shutting off. Don't have the funds just yet to purchase a new one, which kinda leaves me to repairing this one. Looking online it looks like it could be a flame sensor or the coils. If someone knows a little abit about this, I'd like your advice. Thanks to all. GG

 

I'm not bagging on you but did you check to see if the gas valve is turned on at the wall?
Do you have gas commimg out of the pipe?
Also there are 2 fuses on those things, but they look like a relay (little square black box about 1" or so).
If I remember right you take off the back and they are some where around the controlls.

Thanks for the reply jgger....It had been working up until last week or so.It just quit drying. I've looked at the system saw the ignitor glow then heard a click and it shut off. Which it's either the flame sensor or coils...just trying to narrow it down some. The gas has been on the and had been working good until recently. If anyone knows a little something to help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. GG
