To Those who Missed Me.

Hey guys haven't been on the forum due to being in ICU these past 5 days; just came home today. As some of you may know, on May 2nd, for some reason or another, I lost consciousness. About 10 seconds before losing consciousness and 3 hours later, I don't remember anything; then it took another 3 hours to finally come to grips with myself. I was transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital which was about an 1hr away. I remained in ICU for 4 days where the doctors order a series of tests which all turned out negative, with the exception of 2 fractures on my lower vertebra possibly from falling flat on my back. No surgery was required but a brace was prescribe to me.

After said incident I began to experience vertigo like symptoms and was unable to turn my head quickly or tilt my head back. On May 19th, I couldn't get out of bed cause the room seemed to spin for me and I couldn't keep my balance. At the 3rd attempt I forced myself to get out of bed but had to concentrate hard enough for about 2 minutes until the room finally stopped spinning on me. But I still had a hard time staying focused and keeping my balance. After cleaning up I went to the kitchen and had breakfast but the entire time I had a hard time staying focused. As soon as I finished breakfast I told my wife I didn't feel right but my words were difficult to pronounce/enunciate and told her I felt I was she could lose me soon. She quickly called the paramedics who rushed me once again to the nearest hospital and back to ICU where all test were repeated but to no avail. All the tests confirmed everything seem to be fine. About 4 hour after I had lost my ability to speak, I suddenly felt like my face and bottom lip area was released and I could formulate my sentences once again.

But the next day at about 1 pm, May 20th, while still in ICU, I happen to feel the same symptoms again, my wife rushed to the front desk and a team of nurses and the neurologist came to my aid. The neurologist did his initial tests but said he haven't seen anything like it in his 25 yrs of practice. About 20 minutes later, once again, my face and bottom lip area felt like it released and my speech was back to normal. The Doc. ordered more test and blood samples but again, all the test performed came out negative. I will now submit myself to a specialist who will perform a 42 to 72 hour scanning of the brain.

Just FYI:

Never in my life have I consumed any kind of alcohol, carcinogens, or recreational drugs.

Sounds like an episode of house or something...

Seriously though, they didnt find a mass in your head?

Guy I work with had a massive headache one day, started bleeding from his nose uncontrollably so his wife took him in. lung cancer with a mass in his brain.

Hope all goes well. Any seizure history? I'm assuming you've had some EEG's as part of your battery of tests. Head CT, heart echo, carotid dopplers, lower extremity dopplers, anything looking for clots I would guess have been done. Have you had any 24 hour video eeg testing?

Any possible disease know to man was ruled out. They are calling it a "possible seizure" but even such test showed no traces of seizure.

Yes, all of the above was done but not an extensive 24hr eeg video test, that is one of the test I'll be submitting myself for. From the age of 3, after the shock of my father being murdered, read more: http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forum...ead.php?t=2711 to the age of 15 I did have seizures.

Jeez OG, I'm not sure I'd recommend anybody read the info at yer link. I had an abusive father but nothing like what you endured in your childhood. I'm not sure many of us would have survived...and maybe that's your problem. Since you wrote that commentary about 8 months ago, it apparently has been bothering you. This may be your body's defense mechanism by just shutting things down. Obviously, I'm no head doctor but you need to let go of the past and live for tomorrow. Unless you have objections to it, you'll be our prayer list at home. I hope you get this behind you.

Oh, thankfully I'm way pass my childhood history, as I stated in post #4 I have brought closure and now I live a peaceful life.

But I seriously believe that some of the issues that are now surfacing are definitely connected to all the blows to the head my mother awarded me.

I understand my man, I understand but the way I see it, anger isn't worth destroying the little bit of happiness I have gain. I was never the problem, I was always a winner, hence the checkered flag on my truck which I proudly display.

My father in law just wnet through this. After being in a hospital for 2 days was transfered an hour and a half away were they found that he had a blood clot in his head but couldn't find were it was coming from so sent him home expecting the clot to go away by its self. Well when it started to go wasy it was going to quickly and 2 days after geting out was rushed back for brain surgery since the fluid was pushing his brain out of place. He is doing ok now got to go home Sat.
