A Close Encounter
Had a close call tonight, my first "accident" sorta,
Was driving downtown at about 8 o'clock tonight and the roads are usually clear so can usually let my guard down a little, guess that was a mistake
Went to merge right so i could pull into a parking lot about 100 yards away and as i do i hear "BBBZZZZTTTT" and then as i react and pull back left a little crap box white car appears in the right lane
So we pull off on a side street and i apologize, because i NEVER saw him was kinda in my blind spot and i had been a little complaisant, but to give you an idea the car had been in a previous accident the divers rear was already smashed in and the taillight was busted broken plastic rim cover on the rear drivers tire and the front drivers tire was missing a cap all together, it was a piece
I assessed the damage and all that happened was my front pass side tire rubbed the paint off about a 6" by 2" spot on his rear drivers fender where the rest of the previous damage had been centered, and hes all "well man i know its a rough looking car but thats my paint man" yada yada yada
He was cool and we decided not to get insurance involved over it, and i ended up just forking 50 bucks to him, kinda a bummer for me, glad i didn't have to make an insurance claim or anything but still out 50 bucks for something that should not have happened
Luckily not a scratch or mark or scuff of any kind on my truck
gotta love those 5" offset rims haha makes for a nice buffer
Lesson learned and that guy is probably enjoying some cold ones on my dime

You may or may not like 'em, but I have the stick-on after market convex mirrors on my truck and I wouldn't be without 'em! I bought a motor home about 10+ years ago that had 'em on it and instantly fell in love with 'em. NOT THE ROUND ONES!!! These go in the lower outer corner of the mirror and you never have to turn your head to see what's in that blind spot. Has saved me several time from pulling over into someone in that blind spot, and I'm really careful to check my mirrors.
