Ok so my best buddy calls me yesterday and tells me this story. Sittin his living room and he hears noise on back porch, so he grabs sweats and his gun and goes on porch. Nobody there but there's a package from UPS that say's "leave on porch" with a business name and his address. It's a 4ft long cardboard tube about 6" diameter, so he's like that's weird and takes it in the house to open it. Inside the tube are blueprints with cardboard taped around the ends, after carefully untapes it and unrolls them. There are only 2 layers, inside the blueprints is a black pvc pipe with end caps glued on. so now he's dumpin in his pants cause he thinks someones out to get him, He takes the pipe in garage and carefully cuts off an end, inside (ready for this) Is 3 bricks of POT, Now he really freak's out thinkin someone set him up and if he sells it he's busted so he calls the police. They estimate 12-15k worth, He don't smoke or drink!!

No offense but if you got a pipe with end caps on it in the mail form you don't know who, the last thing you should do is cut into it. Ever hear of a pipe bomb? He got really lucky you aren't reading us his obituary.

 

Never heard of anyone making pipe bombs out of cardboard tubing or pvc tubing. Must be the bad economy.

I assume you may get some PM's from a few unnamed members here inquiring about the possible purchase of the contents of the pvc tube.

 

He has a concealed carry permit and a lot of hand guns and a couple ar's, cops told him to get some cameras and motion lights, my brother is a mail man and said that UPS, Fed Ex ect has that problem with people using foreclosed, or someone that is at work all days addresses then watching for the package. It was his address but a made up business name. cops are goin thru UPS records to see how many have been delivered, suspecting a close neighbor now

 

He's stupid nuts, I agree with you, I would have called cops before cutting in. He did have to testify in a drug case years back that's why he thinks it's a set up
