The technology is in its infancy stages guys...I bet it wouldn't be anything for them to throw a sidewall on it and make it look like a regular old tire.

That looks to be the same tire that EG&G tested for Michelin about 15 years ago.
The biggest issue they had then was in extreme cold weather the webbing had a tendency to break instead of flex. They also had issues with the webbing after being exposed to prolonged sunlight that it weakened it dramatically. These are also not for high performance cars or trucks. Frankly, I don't see a future in them. Just another gadget to chat about...kinda like the hydrogen generators everybody wanted to build that did absolutely nothing for fuel mileage.

So if they are designed to deform under loads and are not adjustable what happens when I overload the bed of my truck and they flop over sideways on me?
