I have a different take on abortion though. There is a human life at stake for two idiots bad decision (in most cases). Pregnancy is proven to be a life from conception and nobody can argue otherwise. Abortion should not be a convenient form of birth control. Yes there are cases where it should be allowed and you all are smart enough to know what I mean, but for birth control purposes I think abortion is completely wrong, as in murder. There are plenty of people who cannot have children who would gladly adopt.
+ 1 - Well said.

So, what about birth control? Is it better to make birth control and sex education available to any one that is sexually active or of an age to be active rather than to live in denial and hope for the best with the abstainance routine?
The Pope still says the pill is a NO-NO.

Very well said. I don't see how it is seen as a "choice." The baby is in there because of your choice; why punish it for the choice you made?! I believe abortion is a choice in the same way murder is a choice. Since abortion is legal, it should be just as legal for me to go out and avenge someone who kills babies for a living (definitely not condoning what he did...just making a point). The doctor's life should have already been taken - but by spending the rest of it in jail.

The denial that teens go out and have sex and hope for the best is industrial strength stupid. Like anything else you say "NO" to, people will search for the forbidden fruit.

I am Pro-Choice, not in the definition of the Pro-Lifer's belief that anyone Pro-Choice is a baby killer and is out wanting to see more abortions happen.

Abortion is not in lieu of birth control and should not be treated as such. However, there are obvious cases that it should be allowed. Still I would rather see an abortion done by a doctor than in someone's kitchen if they are dead set on aborting the pregnancy.

The problem is that too often those that scream the loudest are seen as the majority and that is just false. The Pro-Lifers are much bolder in their approach than Pro-Choicer people. No one is marching for more abortions!!!!

Who was denying that fact (in bold)? I just believe that, just like every other decision made, they should face the consequences of their actions. And killing the baby they've made is not an acceptable remedy. As hard-nosed as I sound, I actually do believe there are certain situations where it should be allowed (rape, danger to mother). That is the only reason I can see that it is legal - because if there if it were illegal and those were the exceptions, every woman who wanted an abortion would be screaming rape.

I still don't get the "Pro-Choice" thought. If it's just another choice we make, why is it that mothers who abort their babies feel guilt? It is because they have done something wrong and they know it.

I know I wouldn't want to have to answer to God why I killed one of his children.

Yes. I feel guilty when I don't take my dog on his evening walk. Yes, that's wrong, that's why I feel guilty. No, I don't want the government interfering just because it's wrong. My guilt is enough, I don't need a jail cell.

I was responding to the statement that a mother feels guilt when she aborts a baby.

My point was, yes, abortion is wrong but I don't want the government to put women who have abortions in jail.
