Missouri doesn't have 1800lb plates... but they do have 18000. And you'll be fine, it's MO state law which requires it. TX law doesn't apply to you on that. Which brings me to my next question of why you have 18000lb plates on a F-150??

Texas will require of you the exact same as in Mo. If they require 2 plates there, you'll need 2 plates here. While some states have only one plate, they are on the back of the vehicle. If you ever give any address in Texas as a permanent address, you'll have 90 days to get Texas plates on the vehicle or when your current plates expire. You can renew your Mo. plates and use them but they must be current.

Damn, just noticed he says he only has one on the FRONT? Lemme rephrase my question -

What happened to your REAR plate? I think all 50 states require at LEAST a rear plate.

18000lb and up plates in MO require only one plate on the front. The DMV only gives you one plate.

Yes. 18000lb and up is only one plate, which goes on the front of the truck.

I know MO only issues 1 plate for trucks over 18k lbs but an F-150 isn't over 18k lbs. though.
