The native browser is pretty crappy - I suggest downloading Opera Mini. Its a good, fast browser and will render pages as a desktop would.

BTW - the 8900 is a curve, not a bold

I bought the Tour last year the day it came out. It has been a great phone aside from some trackball issues. If you are wanting a Blackberry, hold out for a little while longer and get the 9650. Its going to be called the Bold on Verizon, but its pretty much just a Tour with Wifi and a trackpad instead of a trackball.

dont get frustrated, stick with the droid. you will thank me in the long run, blackberry's aren't much fun.

ive had so many phones it should be illegal. i used to date a girl who's dad worked for valero, every time he was testing new phones for the company he managed to get two handsets and we would geek out and just test them for a few weeks. I've had smartphones, pocket pc's, flip phones, touchscreens, blah blah. Blackberry's are much greater as far as functionality as opposed to, say, a windows phone. (although windows 7 mobile outruns blackberry now). The thing I didn't like about blackberry's are the sticking. Drove me insane, camera took 10-15 seconds to boot, the time it took to answer a call was about 7-8 seconds, which is a no go instantly for me. If you are stuck with AT&T, I say iPhone hands down. Get a case for it, Otterbox will do you fine. Water Resistant, shock resistant, blah blah. Get a screen protector. Ive dropped my iPhone so many times, ON the screen sometimes, screen protector helps it from cracking. As far as iTunes being squirrelly with the handset, there are a few settings you can change that help with this, not hard to do, and im always available to walk you through it. just shoot me a PM. If you are worried about the iPhone being Apple Application specific, jailbreak it. You can use 3rd party apps as well as iTunes approved apps. I could go on and on, but I'll just cut it short.

Sorry for the rant. Cliffnotes: Get an iPhone, read above if you need reasoning

Show me an iPhone with Flash capability, Verizon's service, and the best pricing plan any company has to offer and I'll show the end of an industry, it would be epic win.

If you open the browser and go to options there is a "browser identification" option. Right now it is set to Blackberry. Set it to Firefox and non-mobile versions of websites show up.

Also I suggest download one of the newer OS versions and installing it on your phone, makes it a whole bunch quicker.

Not really, most businesses like BBs becasue they work with windows pcs out of the box and offer encryption software in addition to secure access to BES which can be set up to be independent of the cellular network for added security. None of these things I have mentioned can be done with the iPhone.
On the other hand, the iPhone you mention would probably be a hit the mass market.

I'm not an iPhone hater, I really like mine, but different phones are better for different people. Ya know, "different strokes for different folks."
