Perhaps if the minimum age to start receiving social security was increased at the same rate as our life expectancy, social security wouldn't be under funded. Or here's another idea, if the G wouldn't allow the unremarried spouse of a deceased taxpayer receive the dead person's social security they they are receiving it for their own work history.

For someone who acts like a know-it-all, you sure are mis-informed.
Best case of "the pot calling the kettle black" I've seen in a loooooong time.

I hate it when people take political correctness to the extremes. I can call a color a color until someone like you comes around.

Next thing you'll be insisting that I have to call the color of my dog "tarnished" or you will report me to the authorities.

That's a very good idea!

Of course then the conservatives would yell and scream about how the bad "govermint" changed the rules on them and stole "their" money! LOL! The far right will always be unhappy about ten different things (only one of which actually happened).

Real, There ya go seeing what you want again. I was not the originator of the word "tarnished" in this thread but rather was making fun since someone else chose to use it over the common phrase "pot calling the kettle black" In fact I hate the PC stuff and that was my point. You seem to be so polarized that you don't even realize when someone might actually agree with you in an area!

If this universal health care is soooo great, why in the hell do they have to bribe their own party members? Why do they have to use reconcilliation? Why are they even thinkin about using this "Slaughter rule". They COULD NOT even pass it in the senate without throwing in massive bribes when the liberals had a super majority! Then you have the brilliant Nancy Pelosi stating that we need to pass this bill to see whats in it Are you kidding me???? All this is, is just a power grab!

A "common" phrase? How dare you call that phrase common!

I gotta admit, between you, Witt and Real I've had a few good laughs.

Thanks all, I'll retire now. (That doesn't mean from work..... I already did that 9 years ago.... it means from this particular thread.. not from the forum...... yet! Damn, did I miss anything I should have included a disclaimer for?) Peace!

I could not agree more. It's because of the Obama brown shirts, like the few we have here, spreading progressive propaganda, that it will get the votes to pass and become law by Obama's signature. No matter how much the American people are opposed to this power grab, there is virtually nothing that we can do to stop it. Once this health care legislation is passed, there will be NO WAY to turn back. If it turns out to be as bad as is predicted, we're just going to have to learn to live with it.

It really doesn't matter what we do in November. The progressives are in charge and they have ample time to tear down the Constitution and rebuild this country in their socialist image. They will continue to hold us down, for as long as they possibly can.

Now I am just confused? Is he upset that I insulted the phrase or something?

I agree that is what it has become. Any common sense reform flew out a long time ago. All this is is that the Democrats are willing to pass a turd just so they can take a dump on the Republicans.

There, see.. a misinterpretation. I didn't say I was done, I said I'd retire.... bigggggggg difference. just don't ask me what it would be.

Okay, now I'm done, retired, moved on, shuffled off to Buffalo, caught the last train to Clarksville, tick-a-lock!

Oh, it's going to be soooo hard to stay away now!

I will have to disagree. I do agree the health care will pass and there is nothing we can do about it, but that's about the end. Once it is passed, there will be many lawsuits opposing and attempting to nullify the legislation. I believe that will work to kill the law. Not only that but if the Republicans can win and keep the majority in Congress until a Republican President is elected they can then repeal the law. Until then, they can just not fund it. Failure to fund has happened often.
