Unhappy Please Wear Your Seatbelts

A close friend of mine died this morning in a car wreck on their way back from the beach. Another one of my close friends that was with him is in the hospital with severe injuries but is stable.

My friend that died is Jacob Benton, 18, of Titus, AL and the severely injured friend is Jake Bond, 18, of Wetumpka, AL. Jacob just turned 18 on the 3rd of this month.

Neither were wearing their seat belts, and the driver of the car that they hit head-on was, she survived without serious injury.

Everyone, please be careful, wear your seat belts, and send your prayers to the Benton and Bond families.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers sent.

Nobody rides without a seat belt in any of my vehicles.

Damn shame. That's way too young. Parents shouldn't have to bury their children.

My condolences to you and the family of your friend Jacob Benton, and I hope for a full and speedy recovery for Jake Bond.

Sorry to hear that Chris. 2 of my friends died in a car wreck in October. I know how it feels.

I will place their Families in our prayers. Very sad occasion. I’ve been wearing my seat belt since ’84, when we were on the way to one of my pee-wee games and we got in a wreck and I almost flew out the window. Been clicking up ever since.

Whatever hit them was traveling at a very high rate of speed.

I am very sorry to hear about you losing one of your friends.... I lost one of my close friends a few years ago when he crashed on a quad without a helmet.

The doctors said if he had been wearing a helmet he would have lived....

So I know how tough it is man... I was only 19 when he passed away.

I think the worst thing you can do is shut down and isolate yourself from the world after something tragic like this happens... Talk with your friends and family about the good times you shared together. Memories will last a life time bro.
