Whoopee! One more politician trying to get to Washington by being fiscally conservative. The institution of government is infected, so he will be further infected if he gets there. He probably meant to say stop spending until I get there.

The interesting thing is that Kay Bailey Hutheson has been a respected Texas politician for many years and it was thought she could possibly defeat Perry. Perry's biggest claim to fame has been to refuse to accept Obama's bailout money.

I was rooting for Debra Medina. She talked the talk that I like(on most subjects) not sure if she could walk the walk though.

Perry only does things I like when he gets scared of losing an election. I can't say he has been a bad governor though. I'm just not for "career" politicians. After the elections lets see if he goes back to his old self.

I voted for Medina although I doubt she could have beat White for the Texas White House. Perry hasn't been bad and could be a great Gov. if he would skip the toll road crap and clean up TxDOT. Some body needs to go to jail over the missing money that was given to TxDOT for road improvements and now it gone with zero explanation as to where it went. Can you say "billions of missing tax dollars"?

We have to, no one else will. Or, sometimes we hit the quote button instead of the edit button, and then just say, WTH.

I agree completely about Perry. I have never cared much for him, too much of a poser, a pretty boy. But then when he started risking everything and telling Washington no, I appreciated that.

I can't wait to watch the "sheet hit the fan" the first week of November.....

But Obama and his crowd are so out of touch with what's going on in America that they'll still probably delude themsleves into thinking that it was a communication problem.....

Texas should walk the talk, take a vote from every citizen and leave the US if that is what they really want.

My mom doesn't really care for Perry, my crazy neighbors back home for Medina's biggest fans I swear (Medina lives in Wharton, about 20 miles from my home).

Bill white wasn't a bad mayor for Houston, but he had a few questionable acts towards the end of his last term.

I honestly wish a non-corrupt politician would win office....but we all know that will ever happen.

If there was one recent Democrat politician I could actually bring myself to vote for it might be Bill White -- I still can't quite figure out why he's a Democrat, other than he figured he had to be to win a city election in Houston......
