When did F150online begin??

I joined the 1st time in 1997 when I bought my new '97 F150 S-Cab XLT 4x4. I drifted away somewhere in the early 2000's. I have no idea what my original log-in name was and was just curious if it was still in the system.. I worked for Ford Electronics when I joined and was buying a new truck almost every year there for awhile.. I've had the '97, a '98, '99, & 2000, all S-Cab's, an '01 SCREW, an '03 Expedition, '05 & '07 Explorer and last year added a used '01 SCREW.. I just went on an ATV trip with the guy who bought my '98, it's still going strong with 170K on it, alot of those miles towing..

Anyhow, still enjoying the site and glad I got back online..

Not unless it was on a IBM mainframe.

Al Gore didn't even invent the internet until 1986.

In 1969, you got your electric bill in the mail with a 80 column card that had holes punched in it.
The explicit instructions were "Do Not Fold, Spindle or Mutilate".
Likewise, Govt checks were "key punched".

I think you are confusing 'Dec 31 1969' with an old DOS trick.
If a date field had a required entry, it was prefilled with 'Dec 31 1969' if the date was unkown.
If you saw that date, you knew it was bogus.

That's what I thoought
Google 'Epoch Date'.
The counting of every milisecond since January 1st 1970.

Any date that is unknown, yet required = 31 Dec 1969.

In this forums database, the member 'Joined Date' is a required field.

There were members who were part of a 'F150-online Mailing List' prior to the forums creation. Plus the webmaster (Steve), may have handjammed data entry for some back in the day, he was a one man show.

Sort the memberlist by 'joined date' & 'ascending'.
Do you really think 300+ people joined the forums on Dec 31st 1969?( before the internet was invented and Al Gore was still a teen)
And then Steve joined in 1996? (the mailing list start date)
And then ones and twos came here and there through 1997?
Then the system started cranking out accurate automated joined dates in 1998? (well, that one is true)

Very nice site! I think I asked this question and got a pretty good answer on another thread.

I can't remember his name but he gave or sold or something the site to a company and Rockpick took it over. If the fella gets on here to post his name is still Administrator.

Whatever his name was, he must've been wise. Came out with the site before the F150 was introduced!
