Not a recall, as it is not a safety issue. It is basically a TSB.

I can't say much though. My truck had a recall for catching on fire.............but it's a Ford so it's alright.

Toyota sent out a notice to dealers last week notifying them that the 2007 to 2009 model year RAV4 and Avalon models with V6 engines have oil hoses that can degrade over time.

Were you making a joke? I may have missed it. :o

At least they are acknowledging the problem. Chevy had this issue for many years on several different models (my girlfriends Blazer being one of them) and never admitted any design issue. They did eventually do away with the system they were using on the remote oil filters.

They couldn't even fix their first recall right (the sticky gas pedal.) My mom's stuck again tonight.
