Hunters drool (pics)

He knows hunting season is over so he is taunting me... He will pay for this. I can only imagine what size that rack will be this fall. They should have lost there racks by now but this one seems to be the exception.
or and the .50 would make nothing short of a big mess on that guy...

I've seen so many friends try the Ole head shot and say i don't want to waste the meat but a heart/lung shot wastes nothing and the animal goes right down. I seen some deer in my time with half a face from a head shot and its not pretty, Now you can surely get lucky and maybe your a sniper but IMHO a head shot is a bad shot... I use a .30 .30 winchester for deer hunting and it is plenty of gun to kill when the shot is placed as it should be.

Not to **** on your parade here openclasspro but a head shot is never a good idea unless your 10 feet from the animal. ALWAYS take a heart lung shot and place it well or don't take the shot.

my name may not be buckdropper, but every deer i have shot from my tree stand since moving back to pa in '01 from fla-has been a head shot, the deer drop instantly, not much of the head left, always within 50 yds, zero meat wasted, the black bear i shot in '05 in the mts , was a throat shot ~75 yds, looking at me perched on a giant oak stump, only thing holding head to body was fur and skin-blew the neck apart, once again no meat wasted, the 275 lb dressed bear dropeed instantly, i eat what i shoot, patient enough for the perfect shot, i'm not at antler hunter, go after the meat, i don't claim to be a sniper, but i put together a very tight group @ 100 yds, so far , ive been deadly @50 or less to the eyeball...
here's to your fine shooting

:beers BACK AT YA BD,would really love to get back into archery hunting, but my company keeps me busy to say the least, i use to be big into it,alot of 3 d shoots, moving targets ,etc.i believe if your gonna do something do it the best you can or don't do it all,at one time i use to be able to shoot at my target at 40 yds , swing a tennis ball on a string , and hit the bullseye- dead center of the ball, took pride in that-cheers pal
