Sayanora, Hummer.....

Say hello to Pontiac and Oldsmobile when you get to where you're going: http://www.startribune.com/business/...rksUUUycaEacyU

Personally, I won't miss them, as I've always thought they were the most annoyingly ostentatious vehicles on the market -- a fact that was made even more grating once just about any secretary in the office could buy one and drive around thinking she was some sort of Hollywood starlet.....

I agree. Around here, they were driven by people that wanted to show off how much stupidity they had to spend. I would imagine that the vast majority of them around here never were put int 4WD, or only were perhaps when the landscaper couldn't get the 3" of snow off of their driveway...

The deal wasn't authorized by the Chinese regulators.

So much negativity. But I suppose I should have suspected it because it's not a Ford.

As for the vehicle itself, it's no different then a bmw, benz, caddillac... All car's are bought to express success/status or personality. Don't understand why people single out the Hummer brand.

I agree. I dont see why their hated on anymore than an escalade. The fuel economy couldnt be that much worse than the hummers; they've both had 6.0s in them.. An escalade is just as flashy; if not more. f'n tree huggers

2 reasons I dont like Hummer:

1. Were bailed out by us without consent
2. Make a very crummy H2 and H3

Sad to see it go, but when something is owned by a irresponsible company, you can't expect good things to come out of it.
