New Compressor

I bought a new Campbell Hausfeld 2 horse 20 gallon compressor yesterday. I have been shopping around for awhile, since my 30 year old Craftsman took a dump. But locally the Compressor I wanted, sold for $527. Yesterday I went into a Tractor Supply store in Little Rock, and found the very same model for $299. I about soiled my drawers. I think I'm going to rotate tires on several cars this afternoon.
I was afraid I was going to end up in Harbor Freight buying an import, and I just didn't want to do that. Not that they are bad. I just wanted to buy American.
I don't even know why I went into Tractor Supply, It was like the Compressor was calling me there

I actually thought they were made in Dallas:o

It came with some feet on it that resemble Hockey pucks.

Even Quincy compressors are foreign now a days. The small one that most framers use is the same as the cheapo that Pep Boys sells for 1/4 the price. The only difference is the pressure control box. And in case you haven't noticed, the Craftsman series of power tools are IDENTICAL to the tools at Harbor Freight. They don't even bother to change the color, just no Crapsman label.

I was filling the warranty information out, and it says Made in the USA. I guess that means it was assembled here. Not actually made here, huh?
