its one thing I never do. I did however buy a girl an orchid, had that for a couple years until she messed up, left for a week vacation and the caretaker over watered.

I went looking for live orchids for my wife and daughter, they wanted $25 each for small ones! I didn't cave, since we already have 4 of them in bloom at home.

Orchids are beautiful if they are well taken care of.

I love Pro Flowers. I've used them many times, and only bad thing that ever happened was a cracked vase. Simple phone call, and new vase was there in a heart beat. The flowers look great, and last a long time.
If you are set on having someone personally hand deliver a fully assembled bouquet, b/c it's more romantic, then a local florist is your best bet. But, if you go through all that trouble, might as well deliver them yourself.

In fact, I'd take it as an insult...

I always thought places like 1-800-Flowers would call a local florists in your area and have them deliver.

I didn't realize they actually would send their own flowers.

Flowers in a box doesn't sound too great.

Thanks for the info man..

They do both. But they charge you a fee of $10.95 for a same day delivery. you would not have to pay that if you called a local florist.
If you place your order early , they ship them Fedx in a box.
