Pend Oreille is a beautiful lake and is the 5th deepest in the US! So deep that during WWII it was a Naval training ground and today they maintain a submarine research center at the south end of the lake.

hmmm 30 miles, that doesnt leave much of Idaho in the picture so I'd guess Bonners Ferry, beautiful sights from the road :P

Long and wide road sweeping into the valley. I'd guess you went to your share of Moyie Springs

Of course it would take over 4,000 Lake Pend Oreilles to fill just one Lake Superior!

Yep, good ol' Bonners Ferry is my hometown. My mom still lives there. The Moyie Springs mud bogs did not exist when I was a kid (yea, I'm old). In fact, I'm not sure when they first started, but I'm pretty sure it was sometime after I got married and moved away.
