choosin a new truck
yeah like what in the hell, id love to be back in a ford let alone a 250 kr

don't want anything to old. every f150 i have found on a lot, is the same price it was when it was new. screw that.
after today, i really think fx4 for life 79 wishes he could get my truck. he admits it will be his tundra
i don't think he appreciated me rollin coal all over him when he walked by
definitely enjoy 420 hp in a truck
whoa whoa dude, NO.
6.0/6.4 suck nuts. bad designs and inherent to failure.
7.3, dirty, but gets the job done every time.

fine, be stubborn about the year, its only the amount of maintenance I was referring to.
I personally am tossing the idea around of sellin my truck, and getting a SD truck... I could possibly go for a straight across (money wise) for a 2002 f2/350, or pay off my milan, and jump all over the 6.7 thats coming out, scary idea but they are testing it brutally.
but back to you. if it has to be 05+ write 3/4T+ FORD off the list.
Dodge you wrote off..
chevy, not very high on the list.
1/2 tons, depends on your actual use of the truck and condition of it when purchased.
also, its better for you to walk in to the dealer, say your interested in the truck at a certain price. if they dont meet you within $1k (be realistic, take the low end of ACTUAL recent sale prices of comparable models online like edmunds and KBB) just walk, tell them the vehicle you have works well enough.
I walked in with a 93 probe, told them I wanted $2k for the probe and I wanted the 06 milan premier v6 for 11k. I walked out with the probe, and the milan at $12750. comparable price was $14k at that time.

only reason im stubborn about the year is i dont want a 10+ year old truck thats a basket case. and people are wanting rediculous amounts for a 7.3 anyways with way to many miles.
i know what my trucks worth, and research what i should be paying for these trucks and dealers are no where close.
i looked at a 07 f150 4x4 a week ago, they wanted what the truck was new. 29k truck (after the 12k off we have here) asking 28,970 for a truck with 40k miles. screw that.

I don't understand these threads, everyones got a difference of opinion and this topic gets nowhere. If I had to do this, I'd think of needs and how much I can afford. Not having leather or diesel might have to be sacrificed. I know one thing, I'm not getting rid of my truck now to get another, it will be in addition to. Just saying it is hard to decide for someone else, just stay away from Toyota's- yikes!
