Athletic Fit clothing
Athletic Fit clothing
I know I'll probably get flamed for asking, but I'm tired of wearing shirts that either look like a parachute around my waist, or are too tight on my chest. Same with jeans/shorts. Either too tight in the thighs, or too loose around the waist. I have to wear a belt with any pant/short I wear already, but they bunch up b/c I have to tighten them. It is really annoying, and not to sound gay, but it doesn't look good.
So, my question is, where are you guys getting athletic fit clothing? I need some new stuff, and don't feel like wasting money on crap I wont/can't wear.

Guess you didn't catch my sarcasm.
Searching on the internet isn't always the best way to find clothes though. Plus, certain brands don't advertise their cut as athletic, but they fit that way. So, I was looking for suggestions here as to what brands, or certain items people have had luck with.

In your search for appropriate fitting clothes you should look for the word "fitted". It is this term that designers and clothes makers use to describe what you are looking for. A person with a physique that has a developed chest with a tapered torso would look best in a "fitted" shirt.
Regretfully, garment makers have been forced to manufacture oversized clothes to fit the masses who are progressively getting larger in the waist and gut.
Look for quality products from brands you trust. Good quality materials will cost a bit more, however the trade off is that they will hold their shape and last much longer. I suggest ordering online only after you have tried on clothes from a certain manufacturer and are satisfied with the fit.

American Eagle has some really good athletic fit shirts, if you have the correct shape for them. All the high school girls say I look like Tom Cruise every time I wear my AE shirts. I always respond with "80's Tom Cruise or crazy scientology Tom Cruise?"

I used to wear a lo of AE, but stopped awhile back b/c the waist kept getting bigger, and the sleeves would get higher. Almost to the point where all it would cover is the shoulder. I'll check back though, didn't know they have athletic fit now.
Those weren't girls punisher.
Are you talking casual clothing or gym/workout type clothing?
Personally for casual clothing, it's all Hollister or Abercrombie. I have a few AE shirts, but thier shirts just aren't as good as hollister or abercrombie IMO. I have Aeropastale shorts as well since they look the best and are the cheapest. But I have the same problem because (not to sound like a complete woman) but I have a big booty on me. My thighs are also bigger, but I only wiegh 160 pounds. So a lot of times I go a size higher. Like my jeans now are 30's but I can wear 28's but then my legs look like I'm wearing emo pants. All my jeans are Hollister. As far as shirts I like my shirts fitting tight and showing my physique. So my shirts are either Hollister or Abercrombie. They're all muscle fit shirts so they fit tightly around my biceps and chest area and really feel great.
For workout/gym clothing I wear a lot of under armour or nike stuff. Like my shorts are all under armour and my shirts are usually either IU or Alabama college shirts. Really in the gym it don't matter what you wear.
Not to sound like a homosexual, but I am always dressed fairly nice. You don't see me out in public without either a hollister or abercrombie artical of clothing on. I never look like a bum on the side of the street. With that being said I can be showered and ready to go in about 10 minutes time. So its not like I stand in the mirror playing with my hair (considering I have a shaved head).

not being a smartass at all, but have you tried taking your clothes to get tailored at a alteration/sewing place. I had to do that a couple pairs of nice pants that I liked that were great in the leg but way too loose in the waist.
Back when I was in the gym a lot, I used to have custom made shirts and pants. In reality, they don't cost any more than buying rack clothes and having them altered to fit. I'd look around for a local tailor and inquire as to the prices. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and trust me, you'll look like a million bucks with clothes made for just you.
