Mustang???

Well, first month down of this current fun deployment, and I already want to spend mo moneys.

One thing I've never had is a 'stang. Guy I work with is thinking about selling his 02 because he now also has a hopped up 94 cobra. It has been well taken care of, exhaust Hpipe done, underdrive pulleys, and a short throw shifter.

Money isn't an issue as he only wants 6g, and I'm familiar with the 4.6L truck motor. I really have only been a truck guy forever and they are what I know inside and out. No I don't want to race, I don't plan on going too fast, just something to cruse in on the days off, or take a road trip in and not get 8mpg, and light up the tires every once in awhile in front of the Dairy Queen blastin' Kentucky Headhunters.

Thoughts?

do you want a chick mustang or a fast mustang?

I wouldn't want a 2v 4.6 mustang even if it was given to me. Either push rod(95 or earlier), or at least 3v. preferably a 4v.

Is it really worth six grand? That car is now 7 years old, and there is nothing particularly collectible about it. Unless it has extremely low miles, I don't know that I would pay that much for that particular model of Mustang.....

it came from the factory with an H-pipe (he may have added a catless H-pipe)

it could be made fast, expecially with a 5.4 swap

$6000 doesn't sound bad. A 2005 would be better, but I would take it for that.

I've had that body style before a 98 mine was the 3.8 there ok. if its in good shape and all I dont think 6 grand is outrageous. look around in your area first make sure you couldnt easily find something better. There fun cars.

5 speed stangs are a blast to drive. 6 grand doesn't sound too bad. lots of mods for them out there too. I get 20 mpg in my 07 GT but I drive it hard 75 percent of the time. only way to drive it imo lol.
