Ford putting a dent in insurance costs

The '09 F150 was the first to benefit from the new design approach. The goal is to make vehicles that are more resistant to serious damage, making them less expensive to repair. Ford is also dropping the price of parts to help bring insurance costs down.
New 2009 F-150 is the first vehicle to go through Ford’s new design repair process, resulting in frame fixes costing at least $2,000 less than previous repairs.
