GREEN MACHINE WRECKED! Please view pics! Is my Green Machine totalled?

Yesterday, my son and I were sideswiped by a H2. We are sore but thankfull that is all that is wrong with us after such a hard hit. I was going about 45 mph on a straight a way two lane road. A H2 WITH A 15 YEAR OLD DRIVING WITH A PERMIT is on a side road first in line at a stop sign on my right. It looks like he is waiting for me to pass by. As soon as I get right in front of him he floors it and turns left into my right passenger side. I didn't even have time to hit the brakes or do anything. It sent us across the left oncoming lane(luckily no one coming close enough to hit me) and across the ditch into a parking lot. We had witnesses stop and tell the police what happened plus the mother of the kid admitted it was 100% their fault. I hope the truck is totalled because I know if it is fixed it will never be the same. I know these pics aren't great and not enough of them to tell you much but the frame is warped into the inside under the right door and the floorboard is warped upward. Under the hood it looks like the engine is pushed a tad over as well. What do you guys think and how do they decide if it is totalled? Thanks guys, I have had a bad weekend I miss the truck already.

However, it shows how tough the front end of a H2 is. No fluid leaks, just a grille and bumper damage. Mom drives away with her son's expensive weapon.

Dude that blows man. Sorry to see this. No expert hear, but it looks like heavy axle damage and most likely heavy front frame damage. I am guess its totaled.

Thanks Truckguy and aber. Yeah, It could have been a way worse day. If I was in my wife's Corolla I'm sure my son would be on life support at the hospital or not even here anymore period.

Man that sucks. Make sure that if you guys start feeling any type of pain to go it checked out.

I'd say that it is probably going to be totaled.

Best of luck to your and your son and hopefully you get a new truck to replace the old one.

Yeah, good point 08 stx. We are going monday to get checked out at the doctor. We were a little sore yesterday when we got out of the truck(wreck was 12:30)and stayed the same all afternoon and night. When we woke up this morning we were a lot more stiff and sore so we are going just to be safe. I don't want to rip anybody off but I'm not going to cheat myself or his health either for someone else screwing up.

First off, I'm glad yall are OK for the most part. Second, it's totaled. Third, you gotta move from that area. I'd rather drive down Freedom and the bad parts of Charlotte before I go through Matthews area. The people act like they are more important and just take. The kid will have a new H2 by next weekend. Wish you got pictures of it. I'd like to compare the damage. Hope the parents go to courst and fined (I know the wont go to jail, ***** Peter Gilchrist)

Glad everyone is fine. Considering the age of the vehicle and by the looks of the damage I would say it is a loss.
