Famous quotes

Do you know of any famous quotes? Care to share them?

I'll start.

I'm sure that some of you can think of some notable quotes.

That's the first thing I thought of, Wild.

I can't give credit because I don't remember where I read it, but one that plays heavily during tough times is: "When you walk through the darkness of the unknown one of two things will happen. You will stand on something solid or you will learn to fly."

This one is not so famous, but "Every day is so valuable and important, because after that day is done, you can never get that day back." - 1338 (Shannon Seabolt). It kind of hits home that he was killed in a freak car accident

Some very good TJ quotes.

Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.
Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper.
And one from Ronald Reagan

Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty.

I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Harry Callahan
