Reflections Across The Pond
It's articles like that you wished you could say it was pronouncing the issues or inflationary but the truth is folks, we are on the verge of not being a world leader. While isolationism is not the answer, we have to stop and spend what money we have, not print more of it. I'm now 63 years old. I remember when a coke was $.05 for a 12 oz bottle. A loaf of bread was $.29. It's still the same coke and the same bread but it costs so much more. I remember when a man making $30,000 a year was in the chips and had more money than he knew how to spend. What has changed is that our Gov't keeps printing more and more money which means the dollars you have are worth less which translates into you spending more for less. Who gains from this? Yer Government. Have you noticed that the income tax rates have fallen to compensate for inflation? Yeah, and neither has anybody else because the zipperheads we have in Washington are all about spending yer hard earned money long before you make it. I've put into Social Security for the last 49 years and most of the time it was the maximum allowed by law. I probably won't see a dime of it because the morons in Washington have already spent it. Unfortunately, not thru any fault of my own, I have family that is on SSI. They're not handicapped- they freaking lazy yet our wonderful people in Washington are sending them a check every month. WE have to stop the bleeding and stop it quick or this nation is doomed. The election in Mass., hopefully, is just the beginning of the dismantling of Washington as we know it. The Republican Party will be the benefactor of the Democrats blatant screwups. WE HAVE to make these guys aware that we are not going to go on with business as usual. The Contract with America was a dismal failure on the part of the Republicans and we can't afford to have that happen again. Make sure you write your Congressman and Senators and let them know. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and we are going to have to be more than just squeaky.
