on the fly 4x4

does anyone know what the the safest speed is to switch on and off your 4x4?
i have to lock the hubs and push a switch in the cab.

Well if you have to lock the hubs manually i would suggest coming to a complete stop before shifting. Locking them in while moving may create bodily harm

If you already have the hubs locked in, you can shift into and out of 4hi up to 55mph.

i shift to 4 hi at low speeds and let off the gas


think about it if your shifting to 4 hi at 55 mph you probably shouldnt have been going that fast to begin with.

a lot more can go wrong shifting into 4 hi at 55 mph than at 15 mph. just be smart.
