2 deer hit

Well i hit 2 deer last night on my way home from work. 45 mph snow covered roads. It made quite a mess of the rav4 but it is still functional minus a couple lights and a bumper, etc..

One deer dead and going to be butchered in my barn, the other is still a fugitive from justice... he will get his.

Earlier this year a little foreign junker hit a 10 pt buck in front of my house...they had to total the car haha

55mph contact to that deer with that little boxcar...it made quite a noise. we ran outside and the car was in about 100 pieces but luckily the guy was uninjured...couldn't say that much for the deer ha

What is the bonus score for two at a time?

I've had two close calls lately, but got lucky both times.

No Score

My wife hasn't even had one in a few years, and that's unusual for her

The rav is fine and it is what i use to commute 125 mile a day. It has 200,xxx miles on it and continues to get from point a to b now it looks worse doing it. I wonder if my mpg will be affected... By the way 2,640 dollars damage, can you believe that ****...

I was kiddin, it didn't look like it was totaled or anything. It also doesn't look like $2,700 in damage!

That'll Buff out.

$2,700 is crazy. That's more than the cost of replacing a pickup bed side...

A roll of duct tape and some card board and you'll have that looking like new.

It could have been worse, glad you weren't hurt! $2700 seems a bit steep for that little bit of damage...ouch! I came so close to tagging one about a month ago with my Samurai on the way home from work. I think there may have been dust on the bumper from where she brushed by. Scared the crap out of me!! I did hit an owl a few weeks back, damn thing flew up from one side of the road and didn't quite get enough lift to make it over. Caught the windshield frame, I have no idea if it survived or not, it was dark out and I didn't stop to check. Critters!

Thanks all, and the entire deer minus the hit spots is being made into ground then jerky. Toyota parts are way up there for sure. I should have had my truck i have hit at least 3 over the years with it and one one did underneath damage when i rolled over it.

...and you have a boatload of critters up in that area. No doubt about that. We almost hit a moose - yes, a freaking moose - when we were up there. Those goofy things really aren't all that graceful.

Good luck getting everything fixed, buck. Glad you're okay. Might check the salvage yard for parts -- might save you some coin and allow you to pocket Mr. Insurance's money. Just a thought...

Yea, moose are pretty ungainly looking but the damage they can do to a vehicle isn't pretty! Whether you hit them or they hit you!! I was buzzing home from work one day and a moose came out of the woods on the drivers side and just started trotting down the road in front of me. Well she wasn't going fast enough for me but I was NOT going to push her or try to pass her...they damn near weigh as much as a Samurai and she could have totaled it if she got pissed and it don't take much to **** them off!
