Joe Kennedy looked good to a lot of people that I know. I hope he sticks around. There just might be a job for him. He couldn't win and there was just too much at stake here to try to make a statement. A majority of voting people in Massachusetts clearly realize that.
Republicans are hypocritical morons. Libertarians at least stick to what they preach. But I guess we will never know. Mass. chose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.

Ha ha. I always feel like I'm watching an episode of the Weekend Update on SNL when I watch Olbermann. I just can't take that guy seriously.

There is an intelligent reply.

Brown is a much better choice at this time than Coakley.

We will now see if the republicans can get something done to fix our problems with the opportunity they have been given to do so.

Your post is oozing with irony.

Both candidates are embarrassingly incompetent. You people need to stop focusing on just the 2 party BS. You're always choosing from a giant douche and a turd sandwich. There are better choices in other parties that practice a lot more commen sense than either Dems or Reps.

Agreed. It's difficult to take someone seriously that used to commentate for ESPN's Sportscenter.

Clearly your definition of irony differs from the dictionary.

Who is "You people"? I do not vote along party lines and never have. I do not believe in Partisan politics. Partisan politics is one of the reasons our country is so messed up. Stupid people vote for someone because their friends are or their parents are etc. People should vote with their brains not because Dad was a democrat or republican. The Capitol is full of self-serving bench warming useless politicians that only care about their pensions and not the people they are supposed to serve.

Sorry, I thought you were one of those "republicans til the day you die" kind of people. Glad we agree on all the BS in DC. Hopefully Brown will redeem his party with Mass., and that he won't slip into the routine that so many have.

I agree. He will definitely have to prove himself.

Just because Brown won doesn't mean Republicans can do anything. Dems still own the farm. Until both the crappy Dems and Repub get removed from office, things won't change much. The only thing Brown can do is slow down the "progressive" agenda. Even then, Obama will be appointing more Czars to find a way around things. His appointments to the EPA prove that. Talk about a douch bag.

The Dems just lost their 60th vote, and it will be a loooong while before the Democrats and Republicans are out of office. We will need some sort of change to solve these problems. I don't care if it is from Republicans or Democrats, just so the problems are fixed.

No different than some folks who choose to post on these boards. Specifically, in your case, are you a giant douch or a turd sandwich?

Just curious since you have nice things to say about others.

I love the Libertarian view of things. The problem is, I can't stand Liberal Democrats views of how to ru(i)n this country. At leat at this current point in time; the Republicans offer the lesser of two evils and stand a chance to challenge the Leftists agenda to a certain degree.

I doubt we'll see a powerful third party in the near future simply because more people are too worried that the greater evil will win if they throw their vote to a smaller party instead of than ignoring that possiblity and fully supporting the "other guy". If people voted their concience instead of the lesser of two evils approach; it is possible that a party like the Libertarians could be comepetitive in politics on a national level. Ross Perot until he dropped out mid year and then jumped back in was probably the best recent example of a competitive independant candidate and would have done much better I feel if he had not waffled on his run.

Both parties vie for the independant voter to a degree to continue this because I like to think there are actually more independants out there than there are hard core Dems or Repubs and these so called swing voters make or break elections. Until these other parties can convince people they have at least a competitve level of support; they will be preinneal also-rans.
Would I like to see it happen? Sure it might actually shake things up in D.C. instead of this whole back and forth we play every few years with control of the country.
