^ and it should have been that was a great video. It almost sounded like they wanted the other team to win the game haha O well.

Many coaches do not know the rules. A kick that is blocked that does not cross the expanded neutral zone (LOS) is a live ball and either team can advance it. The play is not over until the ball is either recovered or advanced by either team and is down (play ends) by rule. The one coach was yelling at the players to pick it up and run with it. I do not know why the other coach was so PO'd---he didn't know the rule. IF the kids didn't hear a whistle---well, that is a signal that the play is not over.

The officials got that one correct.

That kids knee was still pretty close to being down when he picked up the ball. And you don't have to be down by contact in HS football.
