So it seems I need to have a forum for browsing remedies for my little computer issues.

I have a 9 in 1 card reader (couple card readers mounted to the board have "proconn" listed) that sticks out the face of my computer, works great for everything I've had until I got a micro sdhc 4g card for my phone. every card reader I have says card read error.

I assume my readers just too old, but never know lol

 

That's the problem - same form factor, but newer. Hence, incompatability issues.

So - new reader time

 

I figured that out eventually today when I asked when HC cards were coming out. the guy said "i think 3 years ago they hit the markets"... well my card readers 5 years old minimum, that explains a lot

Would've been nice to have HC work with my old reader... booo, now i gotta find a new black faced card reader.
