Becareful what you support

I'm not really surprised. It sprang up quickly, and was more focused on screaming at people than rational debate. I was at some of our "Tea Parties," and it was more about demonstration and discussion than yelling angrily.

Reviews of local townhalls hosted by our Rep noted the dissent, but also expressed there was no riotous behavior.

seems like a really unbiased, nonpartisan article.

OK....how about more:

http://www.whois.net/whois/OurCountryDeservesBetter.com
Domain is registered to Salvatore Russo (founder of Russo Marsh).

http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/dcd.../441321/sb/21B
According to FEC filings, Ruso Marsh rec'd crap tons from the Our Country Deserves Better PAC

Tea Party Express is DIRECTLY tied to Our Country Deserves Better PAC: http://www.whois.net/whois/teapartyexpress.org

Our Country Deserves Better PAC is apparently a ruse to coerce people to spend money not on the cause they support (liberty), but on "marketing" campaigns.

Tea Party Express was 100% a scam.

Well, I guess you can believe what you want, but I'm not getting the same picture that you are from the links that you posted.

National Review Online-The Real Media Matters

Media Matters, the one affiliated with MoveOn.org who took out a full page in the New York Times (at a discounted rate at first) to protest what a top commander was going to say, might not be the first place that I would look for objective journalism. If it is for you, well, it's your prerogative.

What I see are accusations. All well and good, but when you look down the list of expendetures, do you know what all of the expenses were for? Can you imagine that there may have been some leg work to orchestrate something like this? Was there an expectation of what the money would be spent on?

I went to Washington DC this past September. I was there on the 12th, with at least a million other Americans to protest a government that continues to insulate it's self from the people. I didn't pay anything to anyone, other than Amtrak to get there and home, and the Marriot for a bed to sleep in for a night. Oh, a little to the Metro to get around for a couple days.

Maybe the Tea Party Express was a scam, I just don't think that you've proved it here. Even if it was, the tea party movement is real. Media Matters and many other progressive groups will stop at nothing to keep a majority of the American people from knowing the truth about their agenda. They will stop at nothing to advance their agenda. The more influence groups like the tea parties have, the more assults will come from the soldiers within the progressive movement.

The title to your thread might be fitting to the people who voted for Obama. I don't think that most of them realized that that "hope" and that "change" that they were voting for is the same old progressive agenda that the far left has been trying to implement for a century. As long as the people remain passive, they will succeede. These tea party and the like groups are a sign to the progressives that not all are passive. These partiots are the enemy to the progressive movement and must be stopped, regardless of collateral damage.

This isn't so much left vs. right any more. This is the far left vs. the American people. Your right, you should be careful what you support. If the far left wins this, the American people lose their freedom.
