Mexico, Cuba or Dominican?

Looking for insite -- Heading off to somewhere warm towards the end of january.

I have only been to the Riviera Maya part of Mexico, quite enjoyed it, but it's quite expensive to go back to the same area.

Just looking for suggestions. I love good food and variety, and something with good views to aid the afternoon relaxation..

Money wise, Cuba looks to be the cheapest place to go on paper, with Dominican and Mexico being very close, price wise. Me and the lady are looking to go for around $1000 CDN each.

Share your experiences.

I couldn't tell ya, honestly it doesn't interest me one, bit to head south in the winter, I would rather head out to the mountains to do some snowmobiling lol.

Dont c how u gonna go to Cuba unless you have relatives there. Mexico is real dangerous with all the drug wars. I would say Dominican Republic on the north coast like Puerta Plata.

My best friend went to Jamaica over summer and had a blast. Zip lines through the rain forest, good rum, better food. Might be an idea to check it out, wasn't too expensive either from what he told me.

If I were Canadian as you are, Cuba for sure! Love Cuban cigars and food! Lots of Canadians and Europeans visit there.

But, Cuba is a socialistic dictatorship so that goes against my right-wing views...

We're egar to get away from work and winter for a while. If I take time off around here, I'll just put myself to work renovating.

Jamaica looks aweseme, but prices seem to start around that $1500 mark, so we'll wait on that one.

Screwed, you seem to be misinformed about tourist Mexico and travelling in general.

Cuba looks just as nice as Mexico or Dominican, but I heard people complain about the food because you can't get a good steak. I'm all for steak, but I can be satisified with Chicken and Pork if the cooking's good!

If you do go to Mexico be extremely careful about where you go. The drug wars are nothing to mess with. They kill just to kill.

I am heading to the Dominican at the end of the month . I have been to the Rivera Maya and to Hawaii and was a little hesitant to go to the Dominican.

I have a buddy that has been to Hawaii and to the Dominican and said for your money your best bet is the Dominican. He said there have beatiful beaches and the all inclusive is the way to go. Said he would go back there before Hawaii.

Going to the Dominican in April. My sister is getting married there. About $1400 all-inclusive at Sandals resort.

Dominican, a town named La Romana I think is a nice area. Well, not so much the town (not bad) but the nearby resorts are killer. Cuba's nice from what I hear, can't go wrong and Mexico is good too, Cancun gets my vote there. I hear good things about up and coming to tourism- Grenada- just above Aruba. Just food for thaught.

Oops, just re-read, have fun in Cabo- Sammy Hagar has a bar there I think.
