I got a ticket today around 6 something in the morning driving through Maryland on my way from NYC to NC. 80 in 55 but I'm not bitter or mad at all. It was my fault I a lil ticked at myself for now being more aware, I got caught up in the music moment and next thing I knew he was behind me. So for X-MAS I got a ticket.

$160 so its not that bad. I'm not sure if there are any surcharges b/c I haven't looked at the ticket fully but maybe someone from MD can weigh in.

 

Be glad you did not hit 85. It would have been a lot worse. One thing to be on the lookout for is now many states have a setup where if you get a ticket in another state, you get the corresponding points to the same ticket in your state.

 

That sux but i was the same on thanksgiving, 90 in a 70 going from fort lauderdale to tampa.$287 ticket and 4 points plus i cant do a driving school class cause im a CDL holder

 

That sucks. I just read an article in one of the magazines, and Maryland was ranked as one of top harassing states.

 

That sucks. i just paid my speeding ticket last week. i was doing 68 in a 45 and they dropped it down to 2 parking tickets that cost me $230

 

Gotta be more careful this time of the year... they are hiding everywhere especially looking for drunk drivers.

Id hate to see where Virginia is on that list, I have lived in MD for 19 out of my 27 years, have gotten 2 tickets, both in VA

 

^dang! ive lived in texas almost 20 of my almost 20 years and ive gotten all my 8 tickets there!

 

they were out today on my trip from vegas to Red Bluff, ca. i kept it to 80 and was left alone. that sucks for you Pmason, bah humbug

 

easy for you to say, you dont have a programmer and sweet mods that make us drive fast!!!

I got one a few weeks ago, got pulled doing 80 in a 60, he dropped it down to 9 over and 2 points. Hope yours turns out as well as mine. Merry Christmas.
