super duty with (new) complete lack of power
The TSB number 07-14 dated July 8,2007 addresses the exact issues you have for YM 2008 F250 with the 5.4 V8 gas engine. If you haven't had the computer reflashed, you will have the problems as you described. But you have to take it to the dealer for this no cost service.
i don't know about the 6 speed, but our f350 with the 5.4 and 4 speed auto has plenty of power to get up and go, sure it issn't a mustang, but for a super duty with a small v8, it has plenty of power to tote all our tools around and still get up to 70 on the freeway with ease... It still gets 13-14 mpg loaded up with a LOT of tools and supplies... impressed as far as the 03 f350... the 08 250 with 1/6 the load should not have these power problems... the 0-60 on the 250 is not bad at all ... it is just cruising speed...
the fuel pumps in the 08 5.4 superdutys are absolute garbage. I cannot count the amount I have done. Any good scan tool will allow you to monitor fuel rail pressure. Take it out on the highway and do a few wide open accelerations and watch the fuel pressure to see if it drops in the higher RPMS.
