CTC's Block Heater Advisory

ahem... Seeing it as its cold outside, single digit here, I offically consider the Block Heater season OPEN!!!

Alot of you here seem to be misinformed about the block heater, so let me enlightened the ignorance....

Your truck came with it from the factory, USE IT FOOL!

Block heaters not only heat the coolant, but it also keep thes oil luke luke warm so help prevent very dry start-up and high oil psi! our motors see around 100 PSI cold cold(you didnt know that did you)

While us spark plug guys dont need the warmth to start, but it also helps the engine warm-up... We have CAST IRON blocks and ALUMINUM heads. They heat up at different temperatures, which means they expand at DIFFERENT temperatures... If you like your head gaskets, and the money in your bank account, I suggest a healthy block heater to keep warm-up times similar to help the metal expandature!

Also creature comfort is very important. Yea, your truck may warm up quick after slamming it into drive and hammering down only after seconds of starting, but with the block heater it warms up MUCH quicker! fools!

Concerned about power use??? Well if your cheap, or your mother pays the power bills, use a timer!!!! Set the timer to turn on 2-3 hours before you leave instead of over night!!!

Also, the thicker and shorter the extention cable, the BETTER!!! durr

I got a question since it looks like you work at a Ford Service Center...

By any chance... do you know the part number for the Engine Block/Oil heater for a 2007 Ford F150 with the 4.2l V6 Engine?

I really want one for my truck.

Most do not come with one. Most do not need one.

I've got an idea for something to improve block heaters, But I need investments from enterpeniours like Real to get ti manufactured and marketed. But I think it has allot of potential.

So here it is.
A block heater raditats from one small area of the engine block, so therefor the temp of the engine is uneven. So what we need to produce is a blockheater pump system. It will bypass the thermosstat when in operation and pump the heated water toughout the cooling system when activated. As an added bonus, the cab of the truck/car, will also be mildley warm when you get in after a cold night. Especially good if you are taking little tykes to school in the morning. Their tongues won't stick to the window either. Because we all know if a child is missing trace elements in their blood, they are atracted to like frost off of window, and when their tongue sticks to it, well it just makes for a bad start to the day.

So what do you think, any takers, I can have a pump system that will hold 20lb of pressure blueprinted by this afternoon. We could go into productionwith in a few weeks.

Edit: I just remembered another advantage to this. With the snow packes on the mountains melting, scirntist have started noticing PCB levels that were trpped in the snow is now making its way through the midwest. So for the window lickers, this idea could save their health, there could be some of the PCB's in that frost on the windows, if those little tyke lick them it could mike them have strange behavior the rest of their lives. So for the marketing end of this, we market it as also protecting your family.

I also have rocks, that (this is serious now) but when they are broken down into small fragments, you can pick them up with a magnet. I'm not kidding.
But about 20 feet under them aint nothing but powdwer white sand.

I'm just trying to make an honest dollar here.
I'll figure out how to do pantent research someday. Does anyone here know how to do patent research?

Now see there is where I would need to reseacrh a patent. Then I wouldn't waste any more thought on the subject than nessesary.

The heater you are talking about has been around for years, if still available. It sits in your rad hose and moves the fluid through the system. I don't know how it gets past the thermostat but they work very well. The stock block heaters are not really needed until about minus 15 celcius. Using them when its not cold enough will burn it out sooner. So I've been told anyway. The truck starts fine even at minus 25. Windchill has no effect on starting that I have seen.

The pump heaters are connected to a heater hose.

You should plug in in minus 15 celcius or colder if you are able.

Just because your truck starts fine at minus 25 doesn't mean you are not oil starving your engine and doing a trace amount of damage every time.

Your truck definitely does not feel wind chill.
