He sounds good, but where does he stand on the issues? I liked what he had to say about people having an equal opportunity and his background. It sounds very similar to someone else I know, but I can't recall who.

Oh yeah me.

Dividing our nation against our fellow citizens instead of uniting us to work together towards our common goals.

Just what our country needs, another "divider" who claims he's a uniter.
I'll assume that you're implying Obama is a great "uniter". How is it that the great "uniter" that sits in the White House currently has seen his job approval rating fall to 47 percent? That's the lowest ever for a president in his first year. No, the truth is, he's been real good at "uniting" a bunch of extreme libs and even a few straight-up leftist freaks under one big lib tent. It's becoming plain to see that the American public–even those that voted for this amateur hour social worker– are getting extremely cold feet.

Oh please....doesn't make sense. You speak like you're in the spin cycle of a washing machine.

Give me specifics about what you heard that has you saying that he's a "divider" not a uniter.

What are our Common Goals?

My common goal is I take care of me and my family, and you take care of you and your family.

I know, it's an evil, Capitalist concept. So 20th Century. So outdated.

Unfortunately, the common goal of most Amerikans is redistribute the wealth and let the government take care of us all. Equal results - that is the way of the 21st Century.

Just list 5 common goals as you see them.
You got the money, I've got the time.

I would expect a more thourough answer from someone with your wisdom. An answer like this might prompt a response like:

How do you come to the conclusion that he is "dividing our nation against our fellow citizens"? What exactly would one do to "unite us"?

For someone who tells me:

Not to over-quote you Real, but I am afraid that these "common goals" are not exactly so common. If they were then things would be much different then they are now.

I think the major goals are common;

freedom
education
health
prosperity
safety
peace
etc.

Most people want the same things.

Political bickering and fake accusations do not further the process.
