52" Nightmare

So, I go to look at LCD tv's last Saturday at one of the major electronic giants in my area. I get a knowledgeable sales guy who navigates me through the different choices I have. In my mind I wanted a 40" LCD with a new Blue Ray Player...looking to spend around $1000 to $1500. Well, one thing led to another and now I'm buying a 46" Sony 120Hz, a PolkAudio sound bar, it came with a Sony PS3, one game and one movie...plus the 4 year service contract. They almost had me buy the calibration service call...but I waived it...what a joke that is. So, he rings it all up and the total comes to $2550...but guess what...they have none in stock and they are on backorder until who knows when. At that point I should have walked out, but he had a better deal for me. It would actually be cheaper...$2500...to upgrade the tv to a Sony 52" 240Hz. Well, I went ahead and purchased the package. I have to say I did not sleep well that night. I woke up the next morning feeling like I had been taken. I know what you're thinking...I'm the idiot who bought it...but in my defense I was taken. So, come Monday morning I packed it all up and had my wife return all of it. And by the way I did not even have an entertainment center to put it on...spent all day Sunday looking for that. So, all in all I saved myself about $3500 if you include the tv console I did not buy. Thanks for listening to my vent...feel free to comment.

I have a 40" 1080p samsung lcd tv and couldnt be happier with it, I bought it when they were $1200 and now at Wal Mart I saw there only $900 and I also have a Samsung blu ray player that works great cost about $150 and a yamaha receiver with 5.1 surround sound and subwoofer costs $400 and its an excellent set up for me nothing to serious but not poor quality at all without spending thousands of dollars.
